Jesus Christ

Jesus Covered Our Sins

Oftentimes when there’s a tornado coming you’ll hear news stories of people who laid over their children with their bodies to shield them from any danger. They literally straddle themselves over their child so that they won’t be hurt putting their own selves in danger – they cover them.  Jesus “covered” our sin when He went to the cross so we wouldn’t have to face the danger of hell.

From The Pit To The Palace

I found this picture of me when I was 23 years old and I found a message in it. You see the word "PIT" in the background? well there's a story there. I was young in my spiritual journey - I had not received the Lord Jesus Christ in my heart yet - even though I was raised in church and Sunday School. In my early twenties, some Sundays I was not even in church - I am sad to share, but instead I was out to the races with my boyfriend or on a lobster boat. As I grew older there was a longing for something more and that was a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank the good Lord that He never gave up on me, I love my life now in the "PALACE" it is so much better than it was down in the "PIT." Jesus had something better for me, but He was waiting for me to make the decision to place Him first in my life, He wasn't going to do it for me. I had to come to the end of myself - to find out that the only thing that could fill my "empty well" was Jesus. He waited patiently for me to want Him more than anything else and love must always be free or it is not love at all. I love the Lord with all my heart and I will serve Him all my days here on this earth. I hope my personal testimony helps someone today.

Be Fishers Of Men

When you're trying to catch a fish you don't get them by yanking on the line, you cast it out and reel it slow and the fish takes a look at it and if it's something he wants - make a note of it - he'll bite and then you reel him in slow - so not to lose him. At least that's the way dad taught me. The same is with people when you're talking to them about Christ.

Love Must Be Free

Love must be free and that includes family members that you have not seen in a very long time, but long too. You cannot make someone love you, you can only extend your hand towards them and let them know you care. Pray to the one who can change the heart - our dear Lord Jesus - the one who knows all too well about pain and suffering. I hope this helps someone today.

Good News

I went through much of my life not knowing I needed a Savior. Imagine going through life and there's something you need but no one told you. And it would've cost you your life - an eternity in hell. But one day by the grace of God he sent you someone to share the Good News - to tell you that you needed to turn from your sin - repent of it - and receive Jesus into your heart and be "born again." Just think how grateful you would be that you got the information you needed on time, because God does not wish for anyone to perish - not one - not even me. And I am grateful that He never gave up on me. He sent me the right people, they prayed for me and witnessed to me, and one day in God's perfect timing I surrendered my will to His good and perfect will. I am so very glad that I did because now I'll be going to heaven when I die, praise God. But it took a tragedy in my life for me to fully surrender. I plead with you, don't let it be that way with you.

No More Suffering, No More Sorrow

"No more suffering, no more sorrow, safe at last in His care" was a line from a poem my maternal grandmother Nellie Pease (Meservey) of Appleton, Maine wrote a year before she died of pancreatic cancer on October 19, 1966. I was to be nine the next day. Someone needs to hear this who is suffering from the loss of a loved one. I want you to know that I am thinking of you. I encourage you to reach out to Jesus - the one who can comfort you - the one who always comforts me, amen♥
